How do I export the Calendar to CSV?

Choose how HTML and commas are handled in event descriptions, download the CSV and understand which columns it includes.

Key Points

  • To export the Calendar to CSV, open the Calendar from the section menu and click Export CSV File in the top-right corner.

  • Choose how event descriptions are included - Preserve HTML markup, Strip HTML markup or Replace commas with spaces - then click Go to download the file.

  • The export reflects the calendar view you're currently on. You can export again at any time with different settings.

  • Events generated from a record only show start and end dates, without a title, status or custom colour. Events you created manually in the calendar include all of those details.

  • If you can't see the export button, you may not have the right permissions. Contact your admin team or FlowLogic Support.

FlowLogic allows you to export the calendar as a CSV file, which is useful for reviewing events outside of the system or sharing them with others.

Starting the export

Navigate to the Calendar in the bottom-left section menu. Once loaded, click Export CSV File in the top-right corner of the screen.

If the Export CSV button is not visible, you may not have the correct permissions. Reach out to your admin team or a FlowLogic support staff member for assistance.

Export settings

Clicking the export button opens a settings screen that controls how event descriptions are included in the download. The export will reflect the current calendar view you are on. The available options are:

Preserve HTML markup

Keeps the event description formatting intact as entered in FlowLogic.

Strip HTML markup

Removes HTML tags from descriptions, making the file easier to read in Excel.

Replace commas with spaces

Prevents commas in text values from breaking the CSV column structure.

Once your preferences are selected, click Go and the file will download. You can repeat the export at any time using different settings if you need a cleaner or more detailed version.

What the CSV includes

When you open the exported file you will see the following columns:

Event ID

Event type

Start and end dates

Start and end times

Event title

Event description

Event status

Event colour

You may notice that some events have times and others do not. Events generated from a record will only show start and end dates and will not include a title, status, or custom colour, as they are pulled from system data. Events you manually created in the calendar will include all of those extra details.
